Jenny lives in Melbourne, Australia. Her first novel THE SECRET SON (about truth and history, set in Australia and Turkey) was published in 2015 by Allen & Unwin. LITTLE GODS (set in the Mallee, country Victoria, is concerned with themes of girlhood, resilience and the mess of family), and was published in 2018. LITTLE GODS was shortlisted for the 2019 Stella Prize.
Jenny’s third novel HURDY GURDY will be published in 2024. She also has a podcast called MY MUM’S BAD DIARIES, and a substack called BIG WORDS (not calling it a newsletter) which is a semi-regular Monday email containing thoughts, interests, links and writing stuff. You can subscribe to that here.
